The Journal "Studies in Hebrew Language"
The journal focuses on research into the Hebrew language in all its historical periods, on the study of Aramaic and its various dialects, and on the history of Hebrew grammatical thought. Articles submitted to the journal undergo a rigorous peer-review process.
The journal was founded in 1984 (Hebrew year תשמ"ד) by Prof. Moshe Bar-Asher and is published biannually by the Department of Hebrew Language at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
The Journal "Mesorot" (Traditions)
A series of studies on the linguistic traditions of Hebrew and Aramaic, as reflected in the traditional reading of classical and liturgical texts, in the spoken Jewish languages, and in the traditional reading of translations of Hebrew and Aramaic texts. The journal publishes articles dealing with the Hebrew component in the languages of the Jews.
The series is published by the Center for Jewish Languages and Their Literatures – The Center for the Study of the Traditions of the Communities of Israel.
Language, Logic and Cognition Center
The LLCC promotes research integrating analytic tools from theoretical linguistics, philosophical logic, philosophy of language, cognitive science, brain sciences and computer sciences. The basic idea behind the establishment of LLCC was to promote interaction between scholars in these various fields with the aim of educating a generation of students with a firm background in related areas, who will be appropriately trained to engage in groundbreaking interdisciplinary research.
